“Experiencing Inner Power and Protection”

Some 65 guests came to the Center for Spiritual Learning for the program, "Experiencing Inner Power and Protection" last Sunday, November 29.

Among them were the faculty and staff of the Union Theological Seminary, Catholic nuns of the Good Shepherd Convent, seminarians of Joseph Marello House, and professionals from a bank and a local restaurant.  

Didi Nirmala gave the main talk, stressing that power should not come from the outside, "but from our inner sense of who we really are--as spiritual beings, children of the Supreme."  She  shared the experiences of some Raja Yogis in various countries, who went through difficult situations but felt the protection of  a divine power because of their accurate and constant link with God.

"If we have an inner stock of powers like peace, love and mercy, it doesn’t  matter what happens externally," Didi said. "To develop inner power is to understand that my original nature is peace, happiness and mercy—the qualities of God, my Father."
